As this volume was completed in 1971, a lot of the poetry seems related to people and issues of that era - the mention of Timothy Leary is just one of those. Each poem is accompanied with a cute little illustration, featuring our furry rodent friends, and is intended to both amuse and provoke thought. Yes, just like everything else in the world.
